We recently stayed at GHL Corales in Cartagena and had an overall great experience. Although the property is around 10 years old and could benefit from a bit of love—like a fresh coat of paint and some attention to certain facilities—it still offers a peaceful and comfortable atmosphere. The hotel is ideally located right in front of the beach and just a short drive from the airport, making it perfect for a quick getaway or the start of a longer vacation. We stayed in one of the suites, which featured a spacious living room and tasteful decor. It was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained—perfect for relaxing after a day in the sun. Amenities include three pools, one hot tub, a formal restaurant, a casual cafeteria-style restaurant near the pool, and a cozy bar. There’s also a well-equipped gym and a full-service spa offering a wide range of treatments. The main restaurant was a true highlight. The food was absolutely succulent—bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. It was one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Cartagena. Wi-Fi was generally fast and reliable throughout the property. While it occasionally slowed a bit in outdoor areas, it held up well enough for streaming, video calls, and staying connected. What truly made our stay special was the staff. Lewis, Aura, Boris, and Esmeralda were warm, attentive, and genuinely cared about our experience. Their hospitality made us feel welcomed and at home. With just a bit of maintenance and refreshing, GHL Corales could truly shine. We’d absolutely return and recommend it to others looking for great service, a beachfront location, and delicious food just minutes from Cartagena’s airport.

Options for breakfast, clean and comfortable installations. Easy to get to Bocagrande and "Ciudad Amurallada" by Taxi/uber, etc. Around 15.000 COP as of today. The swimming pool is great

The hotel has a great location with beautiful views and excellent connectivity. It is well-connected, making it easy to explore the city, and the airport is conveniently close.

The room was very spacios and clean with a great view of the sea from the balcony. The magnificent pools in the number of 4!!! were a very good idea! The staff was very helpful and friendly.

I really enjoyed my time at this hotel because of the awesome staff. They provided me with everything I needed and became like family. The pool area was great and the bar/restaurant as well.

I like everything about this hotel. The rooms, the staff, the pool. Its my third time staying and this will always be my best option. Cartagena has a lot of places but In deed this hotel is the best for me due to the location is far from the loudness of the city and cars. The pool is open till 9pm and the poll towels are always smelling good and warm.

Room was very spacious with a beautiful view, staff super kind and helpful. The center is about 12min ride. The pools were nice, especially when traveling with kids, this is much needed in the Cartagena heat. Bathroom was pretty spacious too

The property is clean, though some places are showing the wear and tear of being next to the ocean for so many years. The room was clean, nicely air conditioned, and spacious. The pools were very nice and the kiddy pool seemed like a blast for the little ones.

The hotel is very well located, making it easy to reach the city centre. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly throughout our stay.

The staffs were pleasant and professional. Even though we speak English they made it seems so easy helping. Miguel at the guest service downstairs was very, very pleasant, helpful and professional. He understands us and assist us well. Kitchen staff was also great. Overall very friendly staffs always smiling and warm.
